11.26.2025
Hoang-Trang Ha embodies an inspiring international career path, combining academic excellence, cultural exploration and entrepreneurial daring. After graduating with an Executive Management Master's programme at IAE Lille, she has successfully transformed her academic background into a springboard for creating her own business specialising in publishing books for young children in Vietnam.
A career driven by daring
After graduating, Hoang-Trang turned her attention to management control in France. There, she developed a solid expertise of performance reporting, financial analysis and strategic link between accounting and operational data. This professional experience played a decisive role in the development of her project, enabling her to gain the confidence she needed to take the plunge into entrepreneurship.
Back in Vietnam, she decided to launch her own children's publishing house. This field combines creative demands with editorial rigour. Today, she coordinates a small team that she can rely on and which inspires her on a daily basis. What does she like most about her role? The ability to create meaning, to play with words, images and pedagogy while managing a financially demanding structure.
A transformative academic experience at the University of Lille
Her continuing education and professional training programme at the University of Lille was a real turning point for her. The courses, rooted in professional realities, enabled her to enrich her vision of management and finance and to get closer to the world of work. Discussions with professionals allowed her to broaden her professional knowledge and gain concrete feedback on the world of work, how it functions, etc.
Motivated by the University's reputation and the accessibility of its programmes, Hoang-Trang found that her expectations were far exceeded. Beyond the degree itself, she values the intellectual enrichment, cultural diversity and quality of interactions within her class. Under a professional training contract, she was able to benefit from professional support that allowed her to combine theoretical learning with practical experience.
A memorable intercultural immersion
She settled into university life naturally, thanks to a supportive environment, accessible teaching staff and a stimulating multicultural cohort. Lille will always remain a warm, supportive and deeply human city in her mind.
Although her career path led her to move quickly to Montpellier, she has maintained ties with her classmates. Her professional and personal network continues to be nourished by these relationships.
A springboard to entrepreneurship
The management control internship she found through the programme was a key moment: it redefined her professional direction and paved the way for a career as an entrepreneur that she had not initially considered. The acquisition of managerial and financial skills, combined with the insights gained from ongoing discussions, played a decisive role in the creation of her business.
Hoang-Trang strongly recommends the experience to all international students and emphasises the importance of stepping outside one's comfort zone: ‘Intercultural experiences change the way we see the world and open up unexpected perspectives.’
Develop, inspire, share
Today, Hoang-Trang focuses her energy on developing her business in Vietnam, in a competitive and stimulating sector. As for her commitment to future international students, she remains open and is already involved in the international alumni network (ULIAN), sharing her experiences as a former student in Lille at the Campus France Vietnam fair held in Hanoi.
Her advice to future international students
She encourages those planning to study in France to be bold, but to do so with clear thinking: consider your choice of course carefully, selecting a programme that is consistent with your plans. She considers this approach essential for maintaining motivation and progressing calmly in your professional life.
