Key figures:

  • More than 20,000 people registered for continuing education courses
  • Over 200 certificates (CU) and diplomas (DU) on offer

The University Certificate (CU)

If you want to quickly build your skills by following an intensive university course, the University Certificate is right for you. These university certificates are skill blocks based on LMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) Teaching Units.

They correspond to between 24 and 120 hours of teaching. Your ECTS credits are recognised as part of your continuing education and can then count towards your admission to a degree course. They are recognised in the context of an Accreditation of Prior Learning.

The University Diploma (DU)

If you are looking for a full study programme in a field in which you have little or no background, the university diploma can meet your expectations and your skill development needs. These programmes are in addition to the classic LMD (Bachelor-Master-Doctorate) university programme. They last a maximum of 400 hours and allow you to obtain a diploma from the University of Lille.

What about fees and funding opportunities?

For mature students, the fee is generally 16 euros/hour when funding has been obtained, and 8 euros/hour for self-funded students. There is some variation in fees depending on the cost of the study programme. The University Certificates represent skill blocks from diplomas that are registered with France’s professional certification registry (RNCP) and available as part of the Personal Training Account (Compte Personnel de Formation, CPF).
